Maritozzi

Maritozzi, soft sweet rolls of the Roman tradition, are ideal to be enjoyed with fresh cream or with our spreadable chestnut creams.

Resisting will be impossible!

Ingredients for about 16 husbands:

2 eggs

250 g of flour 00

250 g of Manitoba flour

15 g of fresh brewer's yeast

50 g of seed oil

100 g of sugar

170 g of milk

Method:

Dissolve the yeast in the slightly warm milk. Sift the flour and add all the ingredients gradually. Work the mixture for at least 15 minutes, until you get a homogeneous dough, do not worry if it will be a little wet.

Place the mixture in a lightly oiled bowl, and cover the container with plastic wrap. Let it rise overnight, about 8/10 h.

The following day, work the mixture into balls of about 50 g and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Let rise for another 2 hours covered.

Before putting them in the oven for 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 °, you can brush them with milk.
