Casta gnaccio
Castagnaccio is one of the best known traditional Tuscan cakes. Simple and fragrant, it is a dessert, without butter or eggs, ideal for autumn and winter snacks. We advise you to taste it by seasoning it with a drizzle of chestnut honey to enhance every bite.
Ingredients
300 g chestnut flour
480 ml of water
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Rosemary to taste
Dried fruit (pine nuts and walnuts) to taste
Raisins to taste
Method
In a bowl, mix the sifted chestnut flour with poured water until the mixture is smooth and silky. Season a 20x30 pan pouring the oil. Pour in the mixture and season with pine nuts, walnuts, raisins and rosemary to taste. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° for 40 minutes.
